Holy shit, here we go.
I'm slightly self-conscious about posting a "before" picture of my stomach here for the entire world to gawk at, but for the sake of full disclosure I want y'all to know what I'm working with as I start this weight loss journey.
My stomach is the only part of my body I'm embarrassed of. Sure I have a big butt, but most people in the world appreciate a plump rump.
Frankly I like having curves. I think they're sexy and womanly.
It's the "gut" I could happily do without, and I'm hoping this cleanse can help me with that!
My goal isn't really a weight. I have this pair of "7 For All Mankind" jeans that has been tucked away in my closet since 2004. I haven't fit into them since before I got pregnant, but I've never been able to bring myself to get rid of them since they are the most expensive jean purchase I ever made.
Right now I can't get anywhere close to even buttoning them, as you can see from the above picture. I plan on judging my progress with this cleanse each week by how much closer I am to rockin' those 7 jeans!
It's 5-something PM as I type this and I'm feeling pretty swell.
So far I've had 5 16.9 oz bottles of water and am seriously surprised I've NOT peed myself.
Yet.
My bladder hates me right now because I still have 3 more bottles to drown it in before I've reached my daily requirement.
Honestly, Day One of my cleanse has been pretty cake aside from drinking all the water - which I hate!!
I woke up at 6:30 took some supplements, had a Vanilla shake for breakfast, and then went about my day pretty painlessly. The shake was delicious. I'm not talking Jamba Juice or Dairy Queen delicious, but for a "diet" shake it was yummy AND filling. I didn't even put it in a blender with ice. Just used a shaker cup and added the recommended amount of water.
Mid-morning I had a hard boiled egg for a snack when my stomach started to growl, which held me over until 2pm when I had my next shake.
This time is was Chocolate. Again I used the shaker cup instead of a blender - frankly I was being lazy because blenders are a pain in the ass to clean. I have to say I prefer the Vanilla flavor to the Chocolate, but I was pretty sure that would happen since I've always been a Vanilla lover.
Still, I'm sure if I drank only Vanilla for the next 30 Days I'd get extremely bored so it is nice to have the option.
Around 4pm I started to get hungry again so I had one of the approved fiber snack bars from the program.
It only satisfied me for about 20 minutes before I started to get hungry again.
Right now, at 5:35 PM I feel like I'm starving, but it probably has a lot to do with the fact that my mind and body know I get to have actual food for dinner.
I am SO looking forward to shoving an entire 500 calorie meal in my piehole after having shakes all day.
Dinner will be Baby Spinach salad followed by Spaghetti Squash with Olive Oil, diced veggies and herbs, by the way.

That will be the last thing I get to ingest today, aside from MORE WATER FML and a supplement that contains Magnesium before bedtime. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how I sleep tonight since so many people on the program say the supplement gives them the best sleep ever.
