Well I made it through Day Two of my Deep Cleanse yesterday and I have mixed feelings about it.
Getting through Day Two also means I get to celebrate making it through a full week on the program without shanking folks.
Go me!!!
The second day of my Deep Cleanse was definitely easier than my first. Since I'd followed the routine the day before I knew what I was in for.
I drank my juice. I forced down my cardboard, chalky, berry snacks. I enjoyed my "chocolates" and clung to the fact that I'd be able to eat food again the next day.
I even survived a trip to the grocery store with a grumbling tummy. I bought the flowers pictured above to cheer myself up after torturing myself with that trip to Wegmans.
Seeing all that food while you haven't eaten for two days ain't fun, y'all.
Throughout the day I fantasized about what I would finally get to have for dinner Friday - I'm planning on treating myself to some brown rice sushi because damn it I deserve that in addition to the flowers after starving myself for two days!
Overall I felt pretty good yesterday. I was still a bit spacey. My reaction time was super slow. Even driving last night was a bit difficult for me. I felt like a had to concentrate really hard.
When I got home from grocery shopping I was faced with a GINORMOUS black spider in my kitchen. I don't do spiders. Large ones freak me the F out.
Due to my slowed reaction time I literally stood there frozen in fear shrieking, not sure what to do as the spider and I stared at each other.
Luckily my neighbor's boyfriend heard my screams and came running to my rescue.
Between that and the lack of food all day, all I wanted to do was go to bed and wake up to being able to enjoy a shake.
So here is the part of my Two Day Deep Cleanse I have mixed feelings about:
I woke up this morning and weighed myself and I only lost .6 pounds.
.6 pounds ?!?! WTF.
After two days of living off my cardboard snacks, cleanse juice and water, I was really hoping to lose more than .6 pounds, especially since I lost 7 pounds before even starting the Deep Cleanse and my Coach for the program kept telling me that the Deep Cleanse was the "fun"part because I'd see such awesome results.
Yea, .6 pounds is not so awesome for me.
I followed all the instructions verbatim so the only thing I can think of that may have hindered my weight loss during the Deep Cleanse is that I happened to get my period the same day I started it. I guess only time will tell.
I have the
I did take my official measurements after being on the program for a week and here are my results:
I lost 3.5 inches from my waist!!! (This is where I most wanted to lose so HELL YESS to this)
I lost 1 inch off my butt...
I lost 1.5 inches from my thighs...
and I lost 2 inches from my chest.
No loss in my arms whatsoever yet, though for some reason I feel like they look smaller.
So that's a total of 8 inches lost and 8 pounds down in a week on the program. Not too shabby!
I think I'll take my measurements right before and after my next Deep Cleanse just to see what the results are to give you a better idea of how effective these "Deep Cleanses" actually are.
While I only lost .6 pounds during it, a lot of the inches I lost from my waist could've been just from the Deep Cleanse.
And lets remember losing 8 pounds in 7 days is quite the accomplishment.
Where's my confetti?
Now please excuse me while I sluuuuuuurp down my first shake in two days. Nom Nom Nom.
